Full Description
KickGolf is a game, played very much like golf, where players kick soccer balls at targets instead of hitting little balls into little holes. It can be played in any large area including parks, fields, or backyards. The holes are much shorter than golf and the game is played by setting up a course using one or more GoalPoles and corresponding starting locations. Scoring is kept like golf where the number of kicks is added and the object of the game is to reach and impact the GoalPole in the fewest number of kicks. Any number of holes can be played with the object being to acrue the fewest number of kicks through the holes played.
Any game played in golf can be played in KickGolf including: stroke play, match play, skins game, best ball, scramble, alternate shot, etc. It is very easy to learn to play KickGolf as it requires no special training or equipment (other than balls and GoalPoles) and it provides a competetive game for all ages as well as a low impact workout as you walk and play. It can also be used to teach children and beginners the fundamentals of golf as both games are so similar.
The GoalPole is approximately three feet tall and is supported by a rubber base at the bottom. Right above the base, where it is impacted by the ball, the pole is only one inch thick and it tapers upward to a diameter of four inches at the top, where the electronic circuit board is housed. Atop the GolPole sits a four inch soccer ball under a plastic sphere.
The GoalPole electronically senses the slightest impact of a soccer ball and provides a visual and audible warning to a player that an impact-score has occurred. The GoalPole provides the following three responses: 1) the four inch soccer ball atop the pole spins, 2) LED lights flash, 3) a digitally prerecorded message sounds in the form of "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL". The impact responses are activated for a predetermined amount of time before resetting for the next strike. Four AA batteries operate the device.
