Design Features:
  • This specialty line of picture frames facilitate the task of replacing photographs and prints in these units. 
  • An alternative to the metal bracket/cardboard combinations standard on most frames, the EZ Frame concept offers four basic prototypes for backing and support including: hinges, Velcro, magnets, and a "slide in" variety. 
  • Externally positioned on the reverse side of the frame, a thin yet durable sheet of plastic material could be swivel-mounted, or hinged, at the top of the unit. Additionally, this prototype could feature a snap or hook mechanism on each of the three remaining sides of the frame to secure the backing. 
  • Further enhancing the expedience of changing pictures, the "slide in" variety would feature an open slot at the top or on one side of the frame. Extendeding the entire length of the side, this unique characteristic would allow users to simply slide the photo through the slot. 
  • Incorporating user friendly Velcro, the third EZ Frame prototype could utilize a heavy duty material such as nylon or canvas as backing, with the hook and loop strips placed intermittently along the perimeter of the backing and the frame itself. 
  • Each prototype of the EZ Frame concept could be embodied by virtually any size frame, and constructed of a wide array of materials, including wood, plastic, ceramic, pewter, and aluminum.
