Full Description
We are currently patent pending with a product we call The AC Safety Net. The AC Safety Net is a mesh net secured to the interior or exterior of the window opening and prior to the air conditioner installation. What this does is it ensures that the AC unit will not fall out the opening during installation, when it is being removed or even during use if it was improperly installed.
The risk of a window style air conditioner falling during installation and/or removal is substantial since these units can be heavy and awkward to handle.
Furthermore, the integrity of an improperly mounted air conditioner can be compromised due to the vibrations of the unit during use thereby causing it to plummet to the ground below creating a potentially costly and dangerous situation.
This product is a potentially high margin add on sale to retailers and it provides peace of mind for the consumer at a reasonable cost.
We are currently seeking to pursue licensing deals as well as multiple other avenues for launching our product. Our marketing plan includes pushing the product to retailers like hardware stores, big box home improvement chains, retailers of window style air conditioners etc. as well as to some home safety product manufactures like Safety First. We hope to present our product to several made for TV or infomercial companies as well. Of course we have the requisite website for the product being designed also.
We are at the same time pursuing a pull strategy whereby we are presenting our product to the Department of Buildings for large municipalities, specifically NY and San Francisco where we have some mid level contacts as well as to city engineers and outside engineering companies that do exterior building facade inspections. It is our hope that our product can make it to a "recommended" status to begin with and then become "required" for all installations.
