Full Description
I would have to write a extrememly long description to relay what the use of this needle is intended to accomplish. My needle is fully described under a US patent This patent was granted in 2000. I would be happy to forward a full informational summary, including market analysis, in a proposal form for interested parties. I am a certified surgical technologist and developed this needle to make the procedure easier, safer and faster for the surgeon. In the late 90's, the mesh used also in this procedure, was introduced to the market for urinary stress incontinence. At this point, most medical professionals thought that this mesh would dominate the market. It took over 10 years for trials and studies to determine that the mesh was no more effective than the needle suspension system.
I urge any interested parties to do their own research to see results of complications and cure rates of the needle suspension vs the mesh. My needle was intended to replace the Stameyneedle. This needle is re-usable but Surgeons find it cumberson and most do not use it. I developed this needle to be disposable and safe for the patient and surgeon.
Please review the patent for further details and as stated, I will forward a informational summary for development upon request.
Thank you for your interest,
